40 weeks

Still pregnant...Went to my appointment yesterday and my blood pressure was higher than it usually is, but not so outrageous the dr was concerned, I usually have an insanely low blood pressure anyway, and this was a more normal person number, but I told him my Mother in Law was in town, and he basically told me I just needed to relax...haha. I'll just say my anxiety has been insanely high and I don't think this baby is going to come while i'm so stressed...

But basically nothing changed, still 80% effaced, 1cm...he said his head had moved up and wasn't as far down as it had been previously...he was just full of bad news. He said we would start talking 'options' next week at my appointment...pooey.

It goes from day to day of being 'sooo ready' and then other days of being like 'oh crap...we're having a baby!'...I hope he comes on a day that i'm so ready. hah.

Anyway, we got some new furniture this weekend that wouldn't fit down the stairs, so we put it in the living room...and re-arranged things, we moved the couch so its not infront of the windows anymore and the dogs are in love..they LOVE looking out the window, it's too precious.

Well that's all for now, hopefully theres a baby in the near future.....

39 weeks

So my appointment was suppose to be today...but I ended up going in yesterday, He had been pretty quiet on Monday and Tuesday something just didn't feel right, he wasn't squirming like usual, and I tried doing a kick count and he still wasn't doing a whole lot...I could feel him moving just small little jabs but not the usual, so I got all worried and called the office, They wanted me to come in to watch him on the monitors...so when Joel came home for lunch he called work and told them he had to come with me (Cause of course I was crying and freaking out, only for about ten minutes, but still!!) So Joel came with me, and as soon as we get all hooked up to the monitors he starts squirming like crazy and moving alllll over the place...(Doesn't that always happen??!!) The nurses and staff were really nice though, making me feel like it wasn't stupid for me to come in and it's always better to be safer than sorry (But not bitch nurse...I talked to her on the phone and she made it seem like I was over reacting and being dramatic, ugh!)

Anyway, since it was just the day before my appointment anyway she decided to check me and see what my progress was...well come to find out I guess I was having contractions while I was hooked up and couldn't feel them...she even seemed really surprised that I couldn't feel them so I guess they were kind of big, she asked what my decision was on the epidural, and I told her I was going in with an open mind...and she said that I was one of the people she could see going through without a problem since I must have a higher pain tolerance, so that made me feel pretty good!! We'll see when the time comes though...haha.

So she checked me and i'm now 80% effaced, and baby's head is at 0 station! That's like LOW...even when she got in there, she was like Woah! Theres baby's head! haha, i'm 1 cm dilated, so i've made progress since last week....So she said she doesn't expect to see me for my appointment next week and she said she'd bet money I won't make it to my due date!! Woah, I was blown away! So of course as soon as I get home, I start having contractions...and had quite a few all afternoon, but nothing that I could keep track of...Joel and I went for a walk after dinner and got some pretty hard ones that kept going into the night, but I wasn't going to stay up, so I went to bed and got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, I thought for sure it was time...i've heard your body starts 'cleaning' things out when you go into labor, so I went back to bed thinking i'd wake up with full on contractions....nope. Today has been less than exciting, some contractions here and there but nothing serious...unfortunately :-(

Oh well...so I gained two more pounds!! pooey, I'm now getting kind of anxious about the weight gain and whether i'll be able to loose it. OKAY..but i'm trying not to stress about that now, not much I can do until this baby comes out!

The weekend

So, Still pregnant...I thought for sure friday I was going to go into labor...I had the most ridiculous burst of energy and got on my hands and knees scrubbing the bathtub and floor and baseboards, vacuuming and other ridiculous cleaning shenanigans...nope, no such luck. Saturday I was pretty exhausted and slept most of the day, I just don't have any energy, or actually I have bursts of energy, and I have bursts of horrible fatigue where I could literally fall over I feel so tired. But i've been pretty good at balancing them out...

Yesterday Joel and I got up kinda early and started on yard work and things around the house, well mostly Joel did all the work and I attempted to help...haha, he pulled all the weeds out front, we organized the storage unit so you can actually see the floor!! And I picked up dog poop while he mowed the back half of the lawn..and I cleaned the bunny space. I've been trying to keep up on keeping things clean around the house so that it's not a mess if we have to leave for the hospital and come back to a pig sty, although i'm sure I could con some people (Like my mom and sister) into tidying up the house if need be before we come home from the hospital.

So after all the hard work we decided to go out to Lake Elmo so Joel could go fishing...Sunshine is so good for my fatigue and anxiety it's ridiculous, I could be feeling so sick and out of it, but being out in the sunshine can instantly turn things around, it's an amazing medicine! So we took our chairs and I brought an umbrella! (smartest choice i've ever made!!!) some sunflower seeds and took off to the lake...it was sooooo hot out! and we couldn't find a spot under a tree or in the shade so I was soooo happy I brought my umbrella! it was nice just sitting and relaxing, some of our friends met up with us, they have two little girls who are hilarious, so it was fun just hanging out and enjoying the weather.

Joel enjoying the sun.
Glorious Lake Elmo...
More views..
Joel having more fun...
These little ducks kept swimming by...they were still babies and had fuzz on them, they were all black except this little guy, so cute!!
His friends...

So the puppies are really pissed at me right now, and I feel bad...but Mateo is so naughty it's his own fault, So I had to order a remote bark collar...he's had a bark collar since he was young because he used to bark at the cars that drove down my parents alley, we started with a citronella collar, which worked for all of about two minutes...then we got a shock collar that actually worked pretty well, but after a few months mateo figured out either how to move the collar by shaking so that it wouldn't work, or how to bark in a high pitch bark that doesn't set it off...(Smart little pupper!) So we had to synch the collar soooo tight so he couldn't shake it, that I feel horrible, every time I put it on him he gulps and chokes alittle, hah, can't be comfortable...

Well so our neighbors in the duplex next to us...which is a rental, so we've gone through lots of tenants,  but these guys have a little boy who is like 2 and they take him outside to play ALL the time...which is great, I mean I hope we play outside that much too, but it drives mateo CRAZY!! we've already told the parents not to let the little boy get close to Mateo, he's not trying to hurt the little boy, he's just so excited and wants to smell and say hi and the little kid just gets him so riled up because he can't get to him, so we can't let mateo outside hardly anymore! Which I feel terrible about because this dog is MADE to be outside....So hopefully with the remote collar we will be able to teach him to be quiet and come when he's called...

Okay, well that's all for now, my next appointment is Wednesday, if I don't have this baby before then!!

38 weeks...appointment

So I went to my appointment today by myself...and I did great!! I'm so happy with myself, I wish I could have synced with my body like a few months ago...ugh. I think it helps if I get up and do something BEFORE the appointment, instead of sitting at home waiting....So I met up with my friend Jessie and we had a bagel and smoothies before my appointment, it helps take my mind off of things and makes it easier...

So I had an internal exam today...uh, hello! I thought that "later on" meant like 40 weeks and beyond...apparently not, I guess I should have asked for specifics, hah, it wasn't that bad, just surprising when the nurse hands me the sheet and tells me to take off my clothes from waist down...

Anywho!! He said I was a fingertip dilated, 60-70% effaced and baby's head is at -3 station! He said he could feel his head! Weiiiiirrrddd....but he seemed pretty optimistic, he even said "I'm sure i'll see you next week, but you never know..." That gave me alittle hope, this baby could come at any time?! I sure hope so...I am READY! And I can't wait to start loosing this weight, i've still been gaining one pound each week, yuck!! I need it to stop! Gross...I have about 50 pounds to loose after all this, even though i've only gained about 20 pounds with this pregnancy, I was about 30 pounds overweight to begin with, so i'd like to get dowwwnnn...

37 week appointment..

So pretty regular appointment...all i'm going to say, as i've said before, I can't wait to be able to take medication for my anxiety again, I don't know if it's mostly the hormones surging through my body, but my anxiety from all these dr appointments have been insane, and i'm so sick of dealing with it....

So I tested positive for Group B Strep...apparently 1 in 5 people do, it's not a big deal, they just need to treat you with antibiotics while you're in labor..which sucks, because antibiotics = CDiff....My body is so messed up, having anything infected or wrong means antibiotics which to my body means horrible intestinal infection...WHY CAN'T I BE NORMAL??!!

Other than that baby was squirming and going crazy while the dr was trying to get a heart rate so it was sort of high..but he said that was normal while they're moving.

I also asked about how long overdue they would let me go before they would want to induce me...he said if my blood pressure was fine and baby was doing good, they would let me go a whole two weeks!! He said they rarely have to induce people at the hospital because they have such accurate due dates with the ultrasound...the only thing that sucks is that at this point they're using the 31st as my due date, which could put me at two weeks into june!!...So i'm hoping this little boy gets sick of living in there and wants to come out into the world!

ANYWHO...I'm ready, that's all.

Spring has sprung!

So these last couple days I had a few little bursts of energy...i've been itching to get the outside of the house (and inside) all cleaned up, because with summer coming and having visitors and stuff I want the house to look somewhat presentable....So we had a gift card from our wedding, hah, for gainans, and so I decided I should get some flowers and spiff up the front porch alittle...since it kinda looks blah.

So my mom came over and helped me make some pots and baskets, aren't those baskets cool?? They were in the back shed...the previous owners left alot of their potting stuff in there so that was pretty sweet!! So basically I just had to pay for some potting soil and that's it! Sweet. Now I just have to remember to water them....

37 weeks...

Welp, i've got a pretty full grown baby in there....It's still insanely hard to wrap my head around, that the little thing that is wiggling around and punching my insides is an actual little human, so weird! Anyway, just being pregnant, this week i've been nauseous and fatigued but it comes and goes, It's awful to sleep, My hips are about to break in half and i'm so ready to have my body back!

Anywhooooo...My last baby shower was on sunday, it was fun it was a bunch of my mom's friends, they are the sweetest ladies ever. I got a bazillion blankets, so I went yesterday and ended up returning a million blankets and some other things, I ended up taking the swing back that we had got because it was so loud and it took batteries, and batteries are expensive! So we opted to get a little bit more expensive one but you can plug it in...so that's nice. Ended up using all the gift cards we had gotten to get all those last minute things that we didn't get...like my diaper bag, some diapers, the diaper pail, a hamper, a car mirror and some other little accessories...So I really feel like we have everything now, We still have a few gift cards left so we can get things as we need them, but right now I think we have all the basics.

I have the diaper bag packed and my hospital bag packed, just a few things i'll have to add right before we go, but for the most part i'm all ready! Next appt is on friday, i'll let you know if anything is new...
